Correspondence:
Letter
received from East Preston regarding their cancelled first eleven fixture away
to Rustington on 20/05/2006 which was cancelled on the morning of the match.
East Preston felt that the ground was playable after going to visit the ground
and asked for the committee to look into the matter. The match was cancelled by
the council groundsman and this was confirmed with communication with Rustington.
The committee decided that the result stands as an cancelled fixture. Norman
Teague asked for clubs to rely on the honesty of home clubs to cancel games.
Letter received from Crawley Eagles regarding their
first eleven fixture versus Ifield on 27/05/2006 concerning the behaviour of
Ifield and their captain Graham Dean. Crawley Eagles wished for no punishment to
be handed out to Ifield but wanted to inform the league of the incident. Norman
Teague has spoken to Graham Dean and he has admitted his conduct was in the
wrong. The Executive Committee wished for this letter to held as a record in
case of further misdemeanours by Ifield. Nic Nolan to write to Ifield explaining
the situation and the penalties which wcould be imposed in the future.
Norman Teague received a reply in may from the Sussex league regarding our option of the feeder system. It appears the sussex league are opposed to our option. Norman Teague to propose that we are open to all suggestions. He feels this is a delaying tactic from them.
